Good Bunny, Bad Bunny; Danica Patrick wants no bunny at the Super Bowl halftime show.
While commenting on another account’s post about the Puerto Rican rapper, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martínez Ocasio, Patrick criticized the idea of having him perform on stage in Santa Clara, Calif., for the pinnacle of television in America.
“Oh fun,” the former race car driver said on X. “No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year … not just for sports.”

I’ve read that she can be a bit of a b!tch to her fans at times, but she’s easy on the eyes, or was. Haven’t looked her up lately.
Watch how fast her free speech rights are revoked.
Apparently, for 2025, the Bad Bunny is one of the top five selling pop stars in the world.
That being said, Metallica would have been a far better and more iconic choice.
Other SF-based groups:
Journey
Green Day
Huey Lewis
Carlos Santana
Steve Miller
Third Eye Blind
Faith No More
Jefferson Airplane
Grateful Dead
The Doobie Brothers
CCR...
Plenty are a bit too old now, or a bit too anti-American, but even a collection of major SF acts would have been appreciated and appealing to all... Focusing on the Spanish-only trans guy with (I'm told by fans) some extremely graphic sexuality in his stage presence and backup dancers is not exactly the way to "grow the brand".
Metallica, Journey, and Santana would have been an exceptional stage.
Add in Green Day and one of the elderly anti-Americans (Dead, Grace Slick, CCR) and you'd have everyone happy with the selection, no matter your politics or musical preference (odd that no black or rap artists come out of SF... hmmmmm)
Top streamer too, lots of fans apparently. Honestly when the weeknd played a few years back I had never heard of them either, and they were bad. People have lousy taste.
“No songs in English should not be allowed at one of America’s highest rated television events of the year … not just for sports.”
Can anyone put that statement in English for me?
Back in the day, you'd buy a record once but it didn't count as a "sell" every time you played it.
And I don't think it counted as a "sell" every time a radio station played it.
I could be wrong about that but my spidey senses tell me that there's just no way this thing has sold 14 billion records.
The only cross-dressing bunny we need is Bugs Bunny.
“Of course you know, this means war!”
(And of course, the usual crowd was screaming for Trump-supporter Danica to be punished for wearing it, despite no cleavage or other exposure at all.)
“Add in Green Day...”
You want Green Day?
Is that the same Green Day that chants “F. Donald Trump” while on stage?
I didn't say whether I wanted them or not. I do enjoy many of their songs, mostly from the 90s. When the NFL is selecting halftime entertainment, for a SB in SF, they're certainly justified in selecting Green Day, a huge band with many popular songs, still young enough to actually sing without assistance, and are from SF. The NFL could've packaged them with Metallica and Santana and made the halftime show all about showcasing SF... but they're clearly wanting to showcase something else. Bleh.
It isn't the Trump Bowl, it is ridiculous to suggest that only pro-Trump. acts be featured. (Personally, I'd prefer zero politics in my entertainment.)
But the NFL seems to be very eager to find out of getting an additional 10m eyes on their premiere event for just an hour would be worth losing 300,000 hard-core all-year-round fans. Interesting math. STUPID math, but interesting.
FAFO, and "go woke, go broke". ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Primarily Spanish: Bad Bunny performs and writes music almost exclusively in Spanish, with most of his well-known hits being in his native language.
English-Language Exceptions: While rare, there are songs that incorporate English. For example, his 2023 song “WHERE SHE GOES” contains some English lyrics.
I think that may be SONG PLAYS, not even downloads. Listen to the same song 45 times in one weekend like we used to do when we were kids... multiplied by millions of kids across several continents... and you get some pretty impressive numbers after several years.
👍 Yep. Not the same.
I would like to see Counting Crows, Stevie Nicks, Lindsey Buckingh, and Green Day. All are from the Bay.
That’s Pete Rozelle.
