DENVER (KDVR) — All the world’s a stage, and Taylor Swift’s “The Life of a Showgirl” is releasing at midnight Friday in select stores.
The hype around Swift’s new album has grown to “new heights,” especially after she announced her engagement to Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce on his podcast New Heights.
This is Swift’s 12th studio album, coming after her massively popular Eras Tour swept the globe, and her show in Denver was so large it could be seen from space. With that many “Swifties” known to Colorado, many are planning to stay up late and get their hands on a physical copy of the megastar’s new album.
Target and Taylor Swift have held a longstanding partnership and that is coming into play once again this Friday with the album’s midnight release. The business has partnered with Swift to have hundreds of stores across the U.S. open for customers.
According to Target’s website, the releases at the select stores are set for midnight in their local time zones.
These 11 Colorado Target locations will remain open for the release:
Colorado Springs East: 3810 Bloomington St., Colorado Springs
Colorado Springs NE: 9670 Prominent Pt., Colorado Springs Denver SW: 9390 W Cross Dr., Littleton
Fort Collins East: 2936 Council Tree Ave., Fort Collins
Glendale: 4301 E Virginia Ave., Glendale
Glenwood Springs: 110 W Meadows Dr., Glenwood Springs
Grand Junction: 2424 Highway 6 and 50 Ste C, Grand Junction
Highlands Ranch: 1265 Sgt Jon Stiles Dr., Highlands Ranch
Loveland: 1725 Rocky Mountain Ave., Loveland
Montrose: 3530 Wolverine Dr., Montrose
Westminster Orchard Parkway: 14451 Orchard Pkwy., Westminster
Here’s what fans need to know about Swift’s album release at Target.
First, there is a purchase limit of four items per guest. Target will be offering three exclusive CD versions with posters included, as well as the album’s vinyl with a poster included, and a standard CD with a poster included.
Second, Target is going to distribute either physical or digital tickets in the electronic section of the stores that will remain open for the midnight release to fans beginning at 10 p.m. on Oct. 2. Target said on its website that the ticket reserves product for purchase, and that once a ticket is obtained, guests can continue shopping before they return to the “designated queuing location at 11:45 p.m. to make your purchase at midnight.”
Third, stock is limited. Target said that ticketing will take place until all tickets are claimed or 10 minutes before midnight.
The rats have them voting in packs too.
Taylor Swift cannot sing or dance or play musical instruments well. This shows that advertising and promotion are what matters.
Saw a Taylor NOLA ticket on Vivid seats for $78,000 before fees. Last one of four available. It sold.
That’s beyond insane.
Her new album is meant to correct course and be more top 40 geared. I find a few listenable songs on each album of hers.
Wrote a song about it. Wanna hear it? Here it go...

We sure could use Rush’s commentary and wisdom, right now...
