How is it any different from Dims telling colleges they don't get climate research funding unless they produce the "right" results? Or they don't don't get any funding unless they let men in women's locker rooms?

But the AP article is written like this, if it's true anyway, is somehow a new thing from Trump.

Capping tuition, limiting international enrollment, and protecting conservative ideology is crucial shift in higher education. By setting this precedent, schools and future presidential administrations can protect conservatism on campus.

The compact, obtained Thursday by The Associated Press, asks universities to accept the government’s definition of gender and apply it to campus bathrooms, locker rooms and women’s sports teams. It asks colleges to stop considering race, gender and a wide range of other student demographics
in the admissions process and to require undergraduate applicants to take the SAT or ACT.

How is it different? The above makes sense...
