Oct 1 (Reuters) - Tesla (TSLA.O), opens new tab CEO Elon Musk on Wednesday became the first person ever to achieve a net worth of nearly $500 billion, propelled by a rebound in the EV company's shares and surging valuations of the tech entrepreneur's other startups this year. His net worth stood at $500.1 billion as of 4:15 p.m. E.T., according to Forbes' billionaires index.
Musk's fortunes are tied closely to Tesla, where he held a more than 12.4% stake as of September 15. The stock has risen more than 14% so far this year and closed 3.3% higher on Wednesday, adding more than $6 billion to Musk's net worth.

If he would just pay off my Cybertruck and Model Y I would be so happy. If he reads this let me give him some advice. Move production to Kingman, AZ. It is ideally within easy reach of several major large cities. It has a large airport, railroad and freeways. Great climate. Cheap housing with lots of available land everywhere. I don’t live there or own property there. I would if I was younger and had money.
I graduated college with $7.49 to my name. It’s doubled since then.
Actually my net worth is a bit over a million. Being a millionaire isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. We’ll retire comfortable but not much room for lavish.
But we’ve always been frugal so I don’t anticipate much will change.
Um, I am in the will, right Uncle Elon?
He will be the first US trillionaire.
Once one reaches a certain comfort level, having money causes more problems than it solves.

Not a penny of it! They have gotten rich by.making thousands if not millions of other people rich.
And in other news: a cup of coffee costs $10 in some places!
According to lying democrats and progs Musk stole that money directly from my own pocket and I should hate him for some reason.

And they’ve employed hundreds of thousands of people (maybe millions) and millions of people use their products.
As is famously said, “I never got a job from a poor person.”
As a conservative I say good on him. And where is that money? Invested and doing good for countless families.
You mean the same subsidies that every other car maker got?
