When Sarah Palin used a common metaphor to "target" a political opponent for defeat the 'Rats ruined her career and her life when a Dem was shot. No apologies or explanations would suffice.

But Jay Jones need only apologize and minimize his intent in calling for murder of his opponent with wife and children - and it is not even necessary to withdraw from the race. The double standard is intolerable and the GOP has got to be stronger to stand up to this outrage.
