It wouldn’t matter who was governor of California illegal aliens would still get free healthcare in the emergency room due to Reagan’s Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act of 1986 (EMTALA). Per EMTALA the emergency rooms of every hospital that accepts Medicare must provide a medical screening for anyone seeking treatment regardless of ability to pay, citizenship or immigration status. Hospitals may not transfer said patient to another hospital without the consent of the patient.
This law is why ERs are crowded with people, mostly illegal aliens, using the ER like a family practice. Savage can piss and moan about Governor Hair Gel but it is Reagan’s EMTALA law that is the driver not the current fascist flavor of
the left. In red states the same problem exists in emergency rooms due to this law.

Why are we not sending invoices to these home countries for the treatment of their citizens.
We had to use a hospital in Amsterdam on a layover one time and they sent us a bill after we had arrived back home, which we promptly paid.
I’m pretty sure the illegals don’t have the money so invoicing them is a waste of time, but we could start sending bills to their State Departments to reimburse us for their illegal citizens’ costs.
