I’m surprised any court would take such a case. This wasn’t a criminal matter. A military board would insist on officers telling the truth. Anyone found to be lying would’ve/should’ve been booted out.

IIRC cadets at the service academies are subject to the UCMJ just as are ordinary soldiers,sailors and Airmen.

That’s right. Outside of UCMJ violations, the strictly honor code violations are not subject to 14A due process. Don’t ask to be read Miranda rights for honor code infractions.
