And then there’s the arbitration clause that was evidently in the contract. Such a clause should not apply to that level of negligence. Let a jury decide.

Agreed, that is far too low and a new fully equiped truck should be over and above the money. Sue them cops too for taking four hours to get the situation right, false imprisonment. Get everything you can buddy.
