I've noticed a lot of double and even triple posts in the last few days.
I'm wondering if there is an issue with Free Republic.
Thoughts?
I’ve had that happen in the past. But I’ve had just a couple of posts double up with a single click.
I agree that it’s likely a comm issue; but probably on the server end. It’s like getting duplicate packets of the “return key.”
bingo
I would assume that the massive repeat posting is slowing FR down.
It’s such a barebines site (an advantage, usually) that people expect the post to go through immediately.
That happens when someone tries to post and their comments don’t post immediately. Then, the person attacks to post again, thinking the comment did go through initially.
My favorites:
Is your computer on? Is it plugged into an outlet?
Are your mouse and keyboard attached to your computer?
Are you logged in? Under your own username and password?
Check if your computer is plugged in.
You create a reply, hit “Post”, and nothing happens. So you hit “Post” again, but this time you post the same thing twice.
The cure is to wait a good ten seconds after hitting post if you don’t see the screen change immediately. Give the FR server time to respond.
141* doubled
Every topic is a ready excuse for learning something new! It's a whole new world, but can you believe how many will automatically reject that which doesn't already conform with what they've already decided?
Epsilon Lyrae (ε Lyr, ε Lyrae), also known as the Double Double,[8] is a multiple star system of at least five stars approximately 160 light-years away in the constellation of Lyra.
Concerning El yakim [אֶלְיָקִים], L will set up (same root and numeric value of HaMakom המקום)...
Isaiah 22:22 And the key of the house of David will I lay upon his shoulder; so he shall open, and none shall shut; and he shall shut, and none shall open. 23 And I will fasten him as a nail in a sure [נאמן] place [מקום]; and he shall be for a glorious throne to his father's house.
*141 = sure [נאמן], a quality indicated verb-wise through doubling. Or as Joseph explained to Pharaoh at end of two full years:
Genesis 41:32 And for that the dream was doubled unto Pharaoh twice; it is because the thing is established by God, and God will shortly bring it to pass.
I understand that like the final show photo used by the media when the Prince of Darkness passed away on the 22nd [of July], it's aLL still a little fuzzy:
Remember the two keys, the Ls? It's more than a matter of specializing in Logistics, what we need is fighting spirit, the will to win.
A heavy metal coffin and the ketz, end:
"Back to the Beginning" raised over $190 million, making it the highest-grossing charity concert of all time.
The more you click post, the more points you get.
Samsung here. And yes it’s happening for me as well.

Maybe FR went from semiautomatic to fully automatic.
WTH are you talking about? Your post was a complete non sequitur.

Read the fine print and you can figure out how to get the same post over and over again in ONE try.

Copy and paste, then, copy and paste larger section. Paste. Repeat, etc., ad nauseum.
Most likely.
Yep.
Are you kidding? That’s classic Ezekiel! ;-)
Since I bought a new mouse it doesn’t happen anymore.
Yeah, but I thought I was having a stroke after reading that.

I am using Safari/iOS18.5 on an iPad. It gives a progress bar which I wait for. I don’t get multi-posts unless I attack the Post button. Even then, I can’t get many.
FR is slow. I do not see the rest of the Web slowed.
It was not this way less than a week ago.
