I lived in Ithaca for 5 years. In the winter it gets cold with days of sub zero weather in Jan and Feb common. It is also overcast very frequently. I remember more cloudy days than bright sunny ones and also during winter the day length is shorter than states further south. All of which make solar a poor choice for energy if you’re trying to keep warm. Ithaca is in the finger lakes about the middle or somewhat south of the middle of the state on a N-S axis. Further north the problems get worse: less daylight, colder weather, and more overcast due to Lake Ontario. Only brain dead Democrat zombie would think solar is a good idea for NY

“Solar growth....in their dreams.”

Solar is good if cost competitive without government subsidies. In reality it is not cost competitive. I do not have solar panels on my roof. Texas hailstorms will wipe out those solar panels and your roof. Each panel is anchored into your roof and becomes a potential point for leaks.

Wind power is a joke and why Europe has the highest charges for electricity.

The solution is:
1. More nuclear plants.
2. Develop as much hydro power as feasible. Calif. is destroying dams. They are idiots.
3. We have an abundance of clean burning natural gas, use it.
4. Reduce the power of the EPA greatly. It has become a political tyrant.
