Dvd players are most certainly available. Not everyone wants to be a streaming slave.

8 tracks and reel to reel ate also still available. And slide projectors.

You can literally save all the data that is on 213 DVDs on a singular thumb drive that costs less than $10.

The data is saved to dvd by computer. Or you can save to a portable thumb drive or hard disk. Or SSD. It’s the same. Just different media. You’re not a “slave” to anything except you apparently don’t know how to do this.
