The passage you cited in 1 Thessalonians 5 is not saying we are to know the times and seasons. It is saying the opposite. The Day of the Lord/Second Coming is like a thief in the night. He will come suddenly and surprisingly (to those not watching for Him). Those who watch expectantly and wait patiently will not be surprised but will be ready when He appears.
We don’t know the times or seasons now:
Acts 1:6-7 NKJV
Therefore, when they had come together, they asked Him, saying, “Lord, will You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?” And He said to them, “It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority.”
Rather than the day or hour, or the times and seasons, Christ gave us signs by which we are able to watch for His coming again. That’s what the Olivet Discourse is about.
Today is the Feast of Trumpets, and it’s the only feast that the exact day or hour is not known until witnesses see the proper sign in the sky. The rapture is also preceeded by a unique sign in the sky: A simultaneous solar and lunar eclipse, accompanied by a cataclysmic meteor shower.
Jesus says this is the sign that the Great Tribulation is over. Joel tells us it will come just before the Day of the Lord (which is the same thing as the second coming).

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.
Joel 2:31
The sun shall be turned into darkness,
And the moon into blood,
Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.
Since the death, burial, resurrection, and coming of the Holy Spirit occured precisely on the Spring feasts, it is reasonable to expect the rapture to be on the Feast of Trumpets. But it will not be this year because major signs have not happened yet, including the sign in the heavens.

The first rule of predicting the Rapture is to never give a specific date in the immediate future. That day will come and go and we’ll all still be here. You need to make the date as vague as possible and certainly far enough into the future so that everyone alive today will be long gone by then.
