The link I posted says all 4 gospels either explicitly or implicicity say Jews killed Jesus but because they weren’t allowed to do it themselves they enlisted Romans to do the deed

So you either have to say the gospels are liars or you have to accept that is what happened

And it is not a stretch for scholars to believe in retribution for these claims from the Christians that the Talmud said Christian Jesus is boiling in excrement

The fact that Hitler tried to kill all the Jews doesn’t rewrite the Gospels

Jesus preached against the establishment of his time; the high priests of Judaism. He preached returning to God and skip past the establishment who governed the Jewish religion.

I see Charlie as having done the same: Skip the arguments of government and go directly to God. Not elevating Charlie to Jesus by any means, but the message is similar and it resonates with many people. No Rules Just Right.

From the Gospels it doesn’t seem that the Romans were paying much attention to Jesus, or that he was encouraging violence against the Romans. The Jewish leaders had to portray him to Pilate as a threat to Roman rule. Crucifixion was a Roman method of execution. Why didn’t the Jewish leaders try to have Jesus stoned to death like they later did to Stephen? Probably they didn’t think they could get a crowd to do it.
