I have been reading for a couple of years that the blue stones were transported to the stonehenge by people rather by glaciers.

The new thing here looks to be the tools they used to confirm the origins of the stone.

Yup, the quarried-and-transported model has everything going for it, and has gained a lot of ground. Eventually the old fossils who advocate for glacial erratics will die off. Likewise the ninny idea that Stonehenge was erected about 120 years ago.
