I hate seeing all these people with their ear bud phones, screaming into the air as they walk the streets.
Hey, people have been walking the streets, screaming into the air, long before any of this technology. 😊
I think the only time I’ve seen such things was at the local Goodwill. Glad I passed on them, although at $3 they may have been a good flip on eBay.
Anyone remember the Rocket Book (1998)?
Or the Sony Libre Book (2004)?
Does it use a Schlemmelmayer Relay?
Heh... I really liked that one...it’s in my category of “look how easily bad actors can take over the entire Enterprise” episodes.
OK, let’s say folks are wearing glasses that do what their phones used to do? So instead of looking at their laps all the time, they just look stoned. And instead of looking where they’re driving they’re cross eyed focused on porn in their glasses. The wrecks are gonna be spectacular?
Wait a sec’... I hadn’t considered the porn angle... uh, wait, what?
Not everyone wants to be in someone else’s snapchat live video feed through this creepy technology.
These people are using a slang term for those who wear them.

I think the Vax was part of the ground work
Gonna need a bigger fleet of meat wagons for all the road kill this will bring. As it is, every week some smartphone zombie somnambulates in front of my car.
Now, that I would seriously consider. It'd be great to remember everything. Got a relative who can do that naturally and I am very jealous.
Even Chris Carter himself would admit that it really started with The Night Stalker (1972 TV film) and the subsequent Kolchak TV show.

If the county continues in the ‘Trump’ fashion - and stops electing glad handers - Mark Zuckerberg might be President some day...
Check your pulse.
Heads-up displays have been in cars since the 1991 Pontiac Grand Prix and Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme.
Since those cars went on sale in September of 1990, they've been available for 35 years.
Heads-up displays are widely available now. For the Corvette, they're standard in everything but the lowest trim ("LT1") version.
Not to worry, Elon's self driving cars will let u 'watch' the Internet on your glasses without any concern. //S
Thank Goodness! I am still alive!
In actuality, I was thinking of something more advanced-I know they have had those kinds of things for a while.
I was thinking of something far more integrated and seamless. But I have already realized it is a thought experiment that dragged on inside me for too many years and I never let that one go-as I said, I now realize there are too many bells and whistles in cars today.
I will say-the one I like is adaptive cruise control. I find it useful.
The one I despise with a white hot burning passion? The “feature” that shuts off your engine when you stop.
I read your link. Thanks. Everyone talked about the X-Files when it was on the air. It was the start of the Art Bell era too.
