11 miles is a “near miss”? Really?

For two planes converging ad 400 Knots each, or 800 Knots total, 11 miles is less than 1 minute until they are on top of each other.

That doesn’t meet the FAA’s definition for a loss of separation.

If the rules are different for AF-1, though, that is another matter.
