More than 100 Texas educators are now facing the end of their teaching careers after posting vile, hateful, and violent content celebrating the assassination of conservative leader Charlie Kirk.
Governor Greg Abbott announced on Sunday that the Texas Education Agency (TEA) has begun investigations into teachers who cheered Kirk’s murder and even incited additional violence online.
Abbott confirmed that these educators will not only have their teaching certifications suspended but will also be permanently barred from working in Texas public schools.
In a strongly worded letter to superintendents, TEA Commissioner Mike Morath condemned the educators’ despicable behavior, noting that such conduct may constitute violations of the Educators’ Code of Ethics.
He confirmed that all documented cases have been referred to TEA’s Educator Investigations Division.

"Suspended" is a loosely defined term. The legal phrase to use in Texas is to have their Texas Teacher Certificates permanently pulled or revoked. Now THAT will keep them from teaching in Texas, and likely other states they move to.

Parents......pull your kids OUT OF THESE PUBLIC SCHOOLS!! They teach your kids to HATE YOU and YOUR VALUES!
That’s only half of the solution as long as the public officials that made the hiring decision to put those types in proximity to our kids remain employed. The whole system is the best advertisement for homeschooling

Oh God. That is torture. How would any hospital think that show is good for patients? Or, they are sneaky and trying to get people out as fast as possible. My mom watches that show religiously. It is so awful I don’t visit her at her house. She has watched daytime tv her whole life and now, with free cable at her senior facility, it is MSNBC from morning to night.

I could have moved to the other area but I powered through to see how nasty they are. They did not disappoint.
They were horrified that the Secretary of HHS, RFK, has no medical degree. They forgot that Bidens HHS Sec was a former attorney general of California and the assistant Secretary was a fat guy who thought he was a woman.
Anyway, all the kids in America will die now because RFK won’t let them have any vaccines.

Not all institutions. Many need to be institutionalized.
If you think violence and murder are good, then you are a dangerous person - certainly not fit to be around children, or really, anybody else in a work environment or a neighborhood. Who knows when you will take offense at someone’s opinion and choose a violent response?

It’s way too easy to find another teaching job somewhere else.
Normally I'd say yes but insurers will take issue with the risk in districts where a teacher, who has publicly celebrated the murder of an individual on a school campus, is responsible for carrying out emergency procedures involving a potential active shooter at the new school.
