Bazookas are recoilless. I don’t even feel the -06 recoil when shooting at game. I remember one instance when I didn’t hear the report.

Yes. He did get off the roof with the rifle. He had the rifle ins a towel type bag hung shoulder. Once he was walking again he was limping to hide. He hid it in the woods on his way out.

He walked limping both in and out, for short distance.

The rifle? I’ve seen one photo. Are there others?

Looks like a typical Mauser action, rebarreled, and restocked, and drilled and tapped for scope bases. . I think the safety must be modified from the original Mauser design so that the scope doesn’t impede its use.

Yes. It has very large diameter optics. 40mm or possibly 50mm front.

That complicates the scope mounting, because of ring height.

At 200 yards even open sights would have worked in the right hands.

My father was an armorer during WWII. He hunted all his life and mine. He hunted deer for the last time up in his late 80’s. He took a large whitetail buck past 400 yards, with Browning 30-06 rifle. He almost never used any other caliber. (except varmit guns)

He died 5-1/2 years ago at 95.

He taught me a lot. I spent my last 25 years caring for sick or elderly family members. Wife died in 2018, married 47 years. I married again about 6 months before he died.

Sweet! I was reading up on them a while ago. Chrome-lined barrel, and a safety friendly to mounting optics. 3-9x 32?

Mauser currently manufactures a Mauser Model 18, which comes in several calibers, including 30-06. That rifle has a standard poly stock.

Hi, it’s a veritable scope but unsure of the optics.

The model 18 is a good sporting rifle.

The poly stock for it will not fit the original K98 action.

There are some aftermarket poly stocks that fit the K98.

I’ve only seen a photo of what was used by the assassin in Utah. And the video’s of his entry and exit from the site.

This was not a one man attack. It was clearly a conspiracy.

Steve Bannon’s War Room is covering this as it unfolds. He is pretty perceptive. And the Left HATES him. (OK)

I did a search online and searched FR for info.
As I own an original Mauser, I was suspicious that the media F'd up the description of the weapon again.
If you are not a moderator, what is it too you?
I was just looking for information. You are the one starting $h!t.

the fbi released a photo and information of the weapon after they found it... it was all over the news and internet... longtime freepers never announce the firearms they own... just saying...
