Fascism is a form of Collectivism. They value the group, not the individual. ‘All within the state, nothing outside the state, nothing against the state.’ — Mussolini. Individual rights, personal responsibility, freedom of conscience: these are the opposite of fascist values.

Extreme nationalism, limited individual freedom, maximum control of economic activity.... I think this pretty much describes China...

A good 30 years ago, before the Wall St Journal went totally wobbly, they published an editorial that examined what the Third Reich would look like if Hitler had achieved a negotiated peace and if Nazi Germany had survived WWII and stayed in place for 50 years. What would the Third Reich look like in 1995? The Wall St Journal said it would look like China. Which, of course, was a slightly polite way of telling people that China in 1995 looked like Nazi Germany.
