“Democrat left-wing that is calling the right “fascists” are resorting to fascism themselves to fight perceived fascism.”

People around here like to use the word “fascist” a lot.

In what respect do you believe the Democratic Left is acting according to fascist principles?

Fusion of business and state.

And the revolving door between FDA, CDC, and the drug companies.

Take the quotes below, and ask any Antifa member if they agree with them.

Science is now in the process of destroying religious dogma. The dogma of the divine creation is recognized as absurd. With each new discovery of chemistry, physics, biology, the anthropological sciences, of the practical application of sound principles, dogma collapses. It is a part of that old edifice of religion which crumbles and falls in ruins. The faculty by which man is differentiated from the lower animals is his reasoning power. But the devout believer renounces reason, refuses to explain the things which surround him, the innumerable natural phenomena, because his religious faith is enough for him. The brain loses the habit of thinking; and this religious sottishness hurls mankind back into animalism.

The rapacious property-owning American [...] admits no limits, possesses no scruples and does not share the fears and the cowardice of our bourgeoisie. [They are] violent, absolute criminal. When they feel the need, they simply stain their hands with proletarian blood. They lack any human sense. They are only interested in exploitation. We want an extraordinary heavy taxation, with a progressive character, on capital, that will represent an authentic partial expropriation of all wealth; seizures of all assets of religious congregations and suppression of all the ecclesiastic [...] revenues, in what constitutes an enormous deficit of the nation and a privilege for a minority; revisions of all contracts made by the war ministers and seizure of 85% of all war profits.

To-day we can affirm that the capitalistic method of production is out of date. So is the doctrine of laissez-faire, the theoretical basis of capitalism… To-day we are taking a new and decisive step in the path of revolution. A revolution, in order to be great, must be a social revolution. Silence is the only answer you should give to the fools. Where ignorance speaks, intelligence should not give [advice]. We do not argue with those who disagree with us, we destroy them.

Marx was the greatest of all theorists of socialism. [Marx] had a profound critical intelligence and was in some sense even a prophet.

These are all from Benito Mussolini. The head of the Fascist Party in Italy. You know, the guy who allied with Hitler in World War 2?

In what respect do you believe the Democratic Left is acting according to fascist principles?

Let's use the definition from Wikipedia as a guide:

Fascism is characterized by a dictatorial leader, centralized autocracy, militarism, forcible suppression of opposition, belief in a natural social hierarchy, subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race, and strong regimentation of society and the economy.

Opposed to communism, democracy, liberalism, pluralism, and socialism, fascism is at the far right of the traditional left–right spectrum.

Let's start with the last point: "fascism is at the far right of the traditional left–right spectrum."

I'm partial to the circular model rather than the linear model that has two endpoints. The linear model puts fascism at the far-right edge and communism at the far-left edge. In the circular model, fascism and communism are neighbors, separated by anarchy. That's why I'm uncomfortable with a model that suggests that fascists can only exist on the right.

Taking the characteristics of fascism one by one:

  1. dictatorial leader:

    • President Trump has complied with EVERY court ruling against him while pursuing legal appeals to many unconstitutional district court orders by judges who exceeded their jurisdictions.

    • The Democrats are blue-slipping EVERY Trump nominee requiring confirmation in the Senate, denying him his full administration.

      • Biden forced vaccine mandates on private sector worker in order to keep their jobs and health care coverage.

      • Biden forced vaccine mandates on the military or face dishonorable discharge and loss of pension.

  2. centralized autocracy

    • Which side hid the infirmaties of the President so that the unelected staff can run the country for four years?

    • Which side nullified the primary result in its own party voters and installed a candidate that nobody wanted?

    • Which side tightly controlled access to the President, kept him away from most people, and lied about their interactions with him? Kamala Harris went from "I was always the last person in the rooom" to "zero substantive role in any of the administration’s key work streams," according to her new book.

  3. militarism

I'll insert Antifa here as a quasi-paramilitary arm of the left, despite being "rag-tag" youth with homemade gear, masks, skateboards, and backpacks. Still, they are coordinated, mobile, and very violent.

  4. forcible suppression of opposition

This one might take a little bit of table-setting...

    • Once President Trump exited his first term, the left turned on him with a coordinated lawfare strategy using "novel" interpretations of law never-before seen and tailored soley to apply to Donald Trump and nobody else so they could convict and jail him:

      • Jack Smith in DC and Florida, resulting in the armed raid at Mar-a-Lago.

      • Fani Willis in Atlanta, trying to turn Trump's request for "finding votes" (aka aggressive signature validation of Biden votes, reviewing disqualified Trump votes, recounts and precint tally sheet reviews) into a RICO scheme.

      • Letitia James in New York trying to bankrupt Trump with misuse of consumer fraud protection laws and take away his business licenses.

      • Alvin Bragg in New York trying to criminalize a legal non-disclosure agreement as election finance fraud in a case he was ineligible to prosecute.

    • Two assassination attempts on President Trump, one bullet grazing his head.

    • The assassination of Charlie Kirk, who was largely credited with delivering the youth vote for President Trump. The assassination not only removed a future political candidate, it's also an attempt to suppress campus organizing on the right.

    • Debanking conservative leaders and businesses in market sectors the left doesn't like.

    • Which side created "cancel culture" to silence anyone who challenges the left on social media?

  5. belief in a natural social hierarchy

This is another one that requires "interpretation."

    • Depending on who one listens to, the gist is that the American left "dehumanizes" the right in order to delegitimize their opinions. If one is a "nazi" or "racist" or "homophobe" or "misogynist" or "xenophobe" then their opinions don't matter. If someone is "Hitler" then it's okay to take extreme measures to remove them from "civil society."

    • The left is described as supporting the "oppressor => oppressed" model where "white supremacy" is evil and minorities (ethnic, racial, sexual, "intersectional") are victims. This is the new social hierarchy according to the left. Coincidentally, everyone on the left became victims and everyone on the right became oppressors.

    • Then there is the patriarchy. Male = bad. The left believes "The Handmaid's Tale" is real.

    • However the left slices and dices it, they always end up on the top.

  6. subordination of individual interests for the perceived interest of the nation or race

    • Which side demands strict adherence to the orthodoxy? Who sees people as expected to vote according to their race, ethnicity, or gender? Who is accused of have a "plantation" mentality and calls conservative African-Americans "Uncle Tom" for voting against the left?

    • Which side can't see beyond the skin and calls people "Breakfast Tacos" and plays racy Tejano music on their phone that was only put there for that appearance?

    • Meanwhile, who took his same rally, unaltered, and went to The Bronx and to New Jersey to appeal to new voters?

  7. strong regimentation of society and the economy

    • Which side complains about millionaires and billionaires, oligarchs, wealthiest 1%, taxing the "rich," paying their "fair share," and then takes their campaign funds from George Soros and Big Pharma?

    • Which side campaigns on free mass transit and free grocery stores, more rent control and less landlord rights, despite proven failed attempts in other cities, all paid for by tax increases on the people most likely to move away?
