Erika Kirk, the widow of conservative activist Charlie Kirk, delivered a national address following her husband's assassination on Wednesday. Read the transcript below.

ERIKA KIRK: Good evening, my name is Erika Kirk. Charlie Kirk is my husband. I first want to thank the local, state, and federal law enforcement who worked tirelessly to capture my husband's assassin so that he can be brought to justice.

I want to thank the first responders who struggled heroically to save Charles's life and the police who acted bravely to make sure that there were no other victims on that terrible afternoon. I want to thank the officers who have protected our Turning Point USA family these past two days and I want to thank the Turning Point USA board, the COO, Justin Streiff, and my husband's Chief of Staff, the amazing Mikey McCoy, for all their work in these terrible days to be the stability for our family and for the wider Turning Point USA family as well. My heart is with every one of my husband's employees who lost a friend and a mentor.

I want to thank the staffers of this, his amazing Charlie Kirk show who helped him broadcast from this studio, this, this chair. Every day, he loved what he did. I want to thank the millions of people who have shown their love for Charlie here in Phoenix, across America, and worldwide.

I want to thank my husband's dear friend, Vice President Vance, and his phenomenal wife, Usha, for their love and support. You guys honored my husband so well bringing him home. You both are tremendous.

I want to thank President Trump and his incredible family for the same.

Mr. President, my husband loved you and he knew that you loved him too.

I am glad that they plan to keep Turning Point going.

We will see. The public has a notoriously short memory. NYC said they’d “never forget” and now they are going to elect a muslim communist mayor.

“The public has a notoriously short memory.”

Sadly, you are quite correct.

I don’t know if she can carry on like Charlie did.

I’m thinking of Rush Limbaugh and the awful mess his widow did with his program.

Both Rush and Charlie were powerful forces of truth and delivered their messages very well. I don’t know if Ericka can do that and keep Charlie’s followers or not.

Exactly.
He should be made the “Poster Boy” the new American Communist RAT party, formerly known as the “democrat party”.

I think the difference between Charlie and Rush is that Charlie had a succession plan for TPUSA, whereas Rush was a one-man show.

When Rush died, I really didn’t expect her to carry on Rush’s legacy. He had a bazillion listeners, but was really a one-man show. I worried that didn’t seem to mentor ANYONE to take up his mantle.

Charlie is completely different, having established a machine with hundreds of young people strong in their conservatism and faith. I’ve heard some of them speak. And they could carry on his legacy. Most are in their 20s!

The winds of change are a blowin’.

“The Left May Have Just Lost a Generation of Voters”

https://redstate.com/bradslager/2025/09/12/the-left-may-have-just-lost-a-generation-of-voters-n2193884

“One social media post from a father delivers some insight. A businessman named Kyle Matthews had a post on an anecdotal occurrence he witnessed involving his son. While he admits to being largely unaware of Charlie Kirk and his positions, he noted that the day after the assassination, his son was wearing a suit and tie to school. He was then informed that many students were doing so out of respect for what transpired.”

I predict that you will see TPUSA grow larger and more powerful now than it would have with Charlie at the helm. Nothing against Charlie, but just compare TPUSA with MAGA, which has become what it is because of the ideas it represents, not because of the one man who originated it.

That’s great! Encouraging.

If it had been a lib who was shot, the teens would be burning everything in sight to protest. Our side protests with suits and ties.

I do not know how Charlie Kirk became so well-versed in the Bible, but he said that he educated himself on our country‘s history by taking the free Hillsdale College courses. Whoever takes up his mantle to do the “ask me anything” questions will need to be extremely knowledgeable as well as positive and engaging. Charlie will not be replaced, but he will have successors.

The sharpest sword is the sword of truth. Charlie Kirk’s death, though tragic, was a part of God’s plan for the future. I watched Ericka’s touching last kiss of Charlie and I knew that she and Charlie had their plans for the future in their minds and hearts. But, there are our plans, and then there are God’s plans. He has the perspective that we don’t - to see the past, present, and future. If I knew Ericka, I would pass on ONE scripture to her, Jeremiah 29:11
For I am mindful of the plans I have made concerning you—declares Hashem—plans for your welfare, not for disaster, to give you a hopeful future. Her heart is broken, but her path is renewed and stronger. Charlie Kirk will be stronger in death than he was in life. He will be shouting truth from his grave.

“he said that he educated himself on our country‘s history by taking the free Hillsdale College courses.”

I’ve heard him say that often. It’s encouraging that colleges like Hillsdale even exist.

She did a wonderful job. Maintaining Charlie’s passion could be hard. Hoping someone will be able to keep it moving and growing. Maybe Erika has strength she didn’t know she had. 🙏

I have been stunned by the cynical remarks of leftists about Erika Kirk and her grief.

They show how far these people have drifted from all that is good and into the darkness.

I thought I was beyond shock, considering all that I have witnessed and experienced in my long life, including a pilgrimage to Dachau, but the hate and evil with which some of these people have allowed themselves to be suffused have astounded even the most worldly-wise of us.

the left just killed John Wick’s dog. I expect T$ to go full scorched earth on all the shadowy figures that control the left.

Yep. Tried to listen to Rush’s program after he died, it was horrible. Also tried to listen to his replacements, Clay Travis and Buck Sexton. Both sound like wet rags. Turned them off immediately.

There is NO ONE who can replace Rush, his charisma, humor, loud, clear voice, bold opinions ... It’ll be five years in Feb. and no one even comes close.

Switched to Megyn Kelly - but you have to have Sirius and pay for it.
