An outraged Colorado sheriff was forced to let a 'dangerous' inmate back into the public due to a state law that requires criminals found incompetent to stand trial to be released from jail.
Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams issued a warning over the release of an inmate who is considered a 'potential danger to the community' on Monday.
Debisa Ephraim, 21, was given a legal 'get out of jail free card' and was released from the Weld County prison after he was found incompetent to stand trial in two of his criminal cases, according to the sheriff's office.
He was facing charges for attempted second-degree murder, assault, engaging in a riot, menacing and burglary.
Ephraim's release comes amid national fury after Ukrainian refugee Iryna Zarutska was allegedly stabbed to death in North Carolina by a serial criminal who had been released from jail on a 'written promise' that he would return to court.
Videos shared by the Weld County Sheriff's Office (WCSO) allegedly showed Ephraim in two separate violent attacks.
'It is a very violent crime, and how rapidly this person has accumulated contacts with law enforcement is concerning,' Reams told CBS Colorado.
'He is a very dangerous person, and his actions, from what we can tell, were unprovoked.'

Look at Britian. The police over there arrest the locals and protect the invaders. You can’t even fly the flag of your own country or criticize anyone or go to jail, unless you are a “protected” class and then you can do whatever you want.

We have both of those laws.
In Denver County, it does not really matter. If you are involved with any incident where you claim "self-defense" you will still most likely face prosecution. The DA does not even seem to care if they lose such cases. "The process is the punishment".
Other counties in Colorado are, as yet, somewhat reasonable. But it is all moving in the direction of punishing law-abiding citizens and protecting criminals.
In Californicated Colorado maybe the sheriff is hoping some citizen will plug him. Then they can arrest the citizen.

WATCH OUT! Is Colorado trying to pass more gun legislation by releasing a mental incompetent to commit crimes, then pull out a prepared gun bill to ban more guns?
California did this in 1989 when they released Pat Purdy from a mental institution (7th time!) allowed him to buy a rifle and handgun passing the waiting period, He then shot up the Stockton school yard killing several students and himself.
A prepared gun bill was quickly pulled out and passed before opposition could be mounted against it!
Colorado has been so Californicated I would put nothing past them to do this.
