Israeli jets fire ordinance and an on site series of bombs to guarantee the desired results and timing. For all we know, Israel may have merely been the theater villain of strategic convenience.

Remember, Arab states have no retirement plans. There is only one way to retire from positions of power, authority, or office, and that's in pieces and room temperature. Hamas appears to be at that "outlived their usefulness" juncture.
