As long as articles keep appearing around Israeli genocide and IDF killing of civilians I’ll keep posting this piece of reality about civilian deaths in warfare. The very fact Hamas and Hezbollah say they can count the number killed means these people were within the boundaries of their control. Any realistic appraisal of their behavior would see they consider civilians as so many biodegradable sandbags possessing utility as political props.

The idea of “bringing terrorists to justice” is a breathtaking mockery of any civilized understanding of justice. The feral psychopaths of Hamas and Hezbollah never display the civility required for Geneva Convention definitions for militia, armed force, or volunteer corps, but are so dissociated from country or culture, so committed to butchery that they best match Webster’s definition for a virus. They are not insurgents or freedom fighters, and when captured, certainly not prisoners of war. These killers are not members of an organized resistance movement carrying arms openly, and they have no distinctive identifier. The Geneva Conventions place terrorists beyond the pale, place no limits in dealing with their depredations, and consider their eradication as the best means of justice.

The Geneva Conventions, which attempt to grasp rational, moral threads to apply during wars’ barbarity formed the basis for our operations. For my Navy experience helping to pulverize a major enemy base in the Mekong Delta of Vietnam, I especially liked the obvious reading of Articles 28 and 29 of the Fourth Geneva Convention. The VC were responsible for any civilian deaths in the base our ship shelled. Those civilians qualified as Protected Persons within the enemy’s physical control and could not be used to render certain points and areas immune from military operations. The Convention articles are as follows:

ART. 28. — The presence of a protected person may not be used to render certain points or areas immune from military operations.

ART. 29. — The Party to the conflict in whose hands protected persons may be, is responsible for the treatment accorded to them by its agents, irrespective of any individual responsibility which may be incurred.

The passages furnished the basis for rules of engagement we followed when attacking a legitimate military target. The base the SEAL team identified in the U Minh forest had been continuously used at least since the Vietnamese had fought the Japanese, so families of the VC would have been residents as well. Distance provided me with the blessing of avoiding the cleanup afterwards for the mess I helped create. However, I am certain our task force was effective. We helped to permanently shatter the last intact VC main force unit, forcing it to surrender the region to South Vietnamese control.

<< Ansari adds that Qatar “will not tolerate this reckless Israeli behavior and the ongoing disruption of regional security, nor any act that targets its security and sovereignty.” >>

Typical Arab empty words.

Israel won’t tolerate the harboring of terrorists who were among those responsible for the Oct 7 massacre. Message sent and received.

Hiding out in another country is what’s cowardly.

No, actually cowardly is Hamas’ sneak attack civilians on the Sabbath and a Jewish holiday on Israel on Oct 7.

Cowardly was the plan that Iran had made to perpetrate that attack on multiple fronts all at once. But hamas jumped the gun.

If this attack had been coordinated on the Israeli border on multiple fronts all at once including other terror organizations, it would have been far more devastating than it was.

My goodness, the very thought that a government would conduct a stealth raid across a border and kill people(terrorist leaders).
... ... ... oh, wait ... ... ...

But harboring known kidnappers and murderers is not cowardly?

Glad I’m not taking Qatar Airways through Doha anytime soon - nice business class but who needs to deal with this?

Qatar has provided safe haven for the Hamas billionaires for decades. These billionaires do not share their wealth with their “people” and would never enter Gaza itself. Whatever “sharing” occurred was for their war against Israel. Between direct foreign aid $$$ (which only “aids” the billionaires) to the proceeds of the Rafah smuggling tunnels, the Hamas billionaires grew their wealth.

Destroying Hamas in the Gaza Strip needs to be complete. The billionaires needed to be addressed as well.

Gee, I wonder whether Qatar just as vociferously condemned what Hamas did on October 7, 2023?

There are drones that can wait until a target is in the open and then attack.

That allows for reliable elimination and lower collateral damage.

Ukraine would probably be happy to trade technology licensing for a few thousand Israeli made drones.

I dunno. It’s pretty brazen to me.
Last year or two Israel has blown up Iran, blown the balls off Hezbollah, Lebanon, Syria, Yemen, Qatar, currently flattening Gaza...but they’ve missed Greta.

Hamas attacked a MUSIC FESTIVAL!!!

They attacked civilians and slaughtered them. THAT is cowardice.

The IDF isn’t done until Israel can see the Red Sea from inside Israel. Restrict buildings to 2 stories.
