Republican Sen. Rand Paul of Kentucky strongly objected after Vice President JD Vance asserted in a Saturday post on X that "Killing cartel members who poison our fellow citizens is the highest and best use of our military."
"JD ‘I don’t give a s[---]’ Vance says killing people he accuses of a crime is the ‘highest and best use of the military.’ Did he ever read To Kill a Mockingbird? Did he ever wonder what might happen if the accused were immediately executed without trial or representation??" Senator Paul wrote.

Rand would have been happy had Bin Laden gotten due process am I right?? Ironic that Rand wants these cartel members to get due process but the Jan 6th hostages who were locked away in solitary, including elderly people who were taking selfies and forced to live for YEARS in solitary not getting any contact with anyone, yeah that’s totally fine for good ol rand

Rand is an imperfect creature like all of us. He is part of a team and says and does some good things and also says and does some strange things.
Rand is useful on some issues and not useful on others. A mixed bag as is the case with many other politicians.
I don’t think there is a comparison. The term “bring them to justice’ has supposedly been applied to terrorists and then we send in the SEALs to kill them. The drug lords have a similar effect on our society and have been responsible for killing a lot more people than at 911. The civil courts and all our civil laws have no jurisdiction. It looks like it a military problem.
I’ll have to go with Vance on this one.

Rand Paul is already doing his usual thing of running for president and he knows he’s gonna be running against JD. Expect to hear all kinds of bad stuff against JD Vance by Rand Paul. It’s just like Cornyn in TX running ads constantly against Ken Paxton months in advance for Senator.
Yep. They kill over there and over here - but are beyond reach for “due process”. The very fact that they’re in such a drug business means they’re killing, directly or indirectly. How many are murdered? How many OD?
