If you are here ILLEGALLY, meaning you have no right to be here, then you are NOT a citizen and thus have no Fourth Amendment protection.
I'm not a lawyer, but I can read and am familiar with the US Constitution.
Except for voting, courts have ruled that noncitizens (even illegals) have the same constitutional rights as do citizens.
That’s a bad ruling, in my opinion. But it does give the Democrats a tool here.
Side point: In some places, Democrats have given noncitizens the right to vote in local elections. Crazy. Or maybe a better word is disgusting.

Message: North Carolina city declares itself a ‘Fourth Amendment Workplace’ to protect illegal immigrants from ICE. If you are here ILLEGALLY, meaning you have no right to be here, then you are NOT a citizen and thus have no Fourth Amendment protection.
Absolutely agree. I think the federal gov’t should simply refuse to send any federal funds to such cities, informing the states that the city’s share of federal funds are being withheld (e.g., welfare, unemployment comp, food stamps, medicare/medicaid, rent subsidies, etc.) Let the state figure it out. Meanwhile, US taxpayers would no longer be funding free stuff to illegals.
The Founders wrote the Constitution so that the average farmer of the times could understand it.
It only gets complicated when when lawyers (judges are lawyers) purposely misinterpret it to say something not intended when it was written.
