Proposing destroying the moon? Nuttier than squirrel poop!
The moon is a huge factor (beyond God's grace) in why life, and intelligent life, was able to develop on Earth!
- oversized iron core from moon-creating "Theta" collision gives us a solar-wind shielding magnetic field;
- plate tectonics due to that big iron core led to atmospheric gasses and hotspots that catalyze chemical reactions;
- stable axis thanks to the moon's stabilizing influence leads to consistent, predictable seasons;
- moon phase rhythms act as a biological clock for many life forms;
- the moon has shielded us from many harmful meteors;
- the moon is a reachable place for space programs to visit;
- etc. etc.
I love the moon - way more than Mars!
He was a lot of fun; and very talented and knowledgeable in many areas. I wavered between thinking he was serious about the moon, and just having everybody on.
