There is no justice or public good that comes from these charges. That won’t stop a scumbag DA, but I repeat myself, from trying to inflict further harm on this family.
This is precisely correct. Worse than a waste of taxpayer dollars and government resources, this is just cruelty to someone suffering from the consequences of a tragic accident. It's probably motivated by hatred of guns and a desire to punish gun owners at every opportunity.
