Given the state of the law today, this effort probably won’t be successful, but it will nevertheless have two hugely important outcomes.
In the aftermath of yet another slaughter of young children at a Christian school by a transexual, Breitbart is reporting that the DOJ is considering whether transexuals are, as a group, too unstable to be allowed to purchase or own firearms. It is a serious issue in need of study.
It’s unlikely that the DOJ will win on this issue, but it will mean that the trans-violence connection may finally be exposed. Even better, leftists will be forced to argue against gun control to protect one of their two most favorite constituencies (with radical Muslims being the other).
There is certainly growing anecdotal evidence that, perhaps in part because of cross-sex hormones, transexuals are becoming an ever more violent threat to society.

One of the problems is that, as of now, insufficient data has been collected to prove a causal relationship between violence and people being treated for gender dysphoria. To quote Grok, “no comprehensive data tracks transgender individuals as perpetrators, making claims about their violence speculative.” Further, to the extent that there is data, it comes from hard left studies that uniformly paint transexuals as passive victims of society.
It appears that RFK Jr. intends to begin collecting data on this issue.

What a wedge issue. Lefties will defend the trans and want to take away your firearms. So to want to take away firearms from trans means acknowledging they are mental. Not wanting to take away firearms from trans means the side with the pro-gun people. More meds for the Lefties.

I had a similar discussion yesterday regarding supporting Israel or supporting Ukraine or supporting Country X.

Same here. The 2nd Amendment and the right to KABA is universal. There are lots of creepy people in America. Restricting the 2A rights of “those people” sounds great and gets clicks, until WE become “those people.”

I think crazy people should be able to buy and own guns until there is documentation to show that they have mental problems.
Lot of folk would subjectively deem me crazy although there is no objective documentation to back that up.
Lot of those folk have positions of authority thanks to Soros money.
I’d suggest the restriction for transgenders would be that their gun registration must identify them by their biological gender not the one that they claim and pretend to be.
In other words the chromosomes must match their registration card.
Put another way transgenders who have a “clean” record with law enforcement and mental health agencies have a right to own a gun if they are willing to identify with their biological gender on their registration.
Do I think that transgenderism is a mental health disorder and should be classified as one?
Absolutely, but that will not be easy to institute and administer.
Requiring a transgender to correctly identify his gender on his gun registration is a doable way to address the problem.
I absolutely agree. We should never have to say “Oops” when it could have been prevented in the first place with a little intelligent forethought and practical common sense... I have now come to the conclusion neither of these exist anymore. Society operates on blind false realities with very little thought about consequences or real world cause and effect outcomes. No one has the common sense God gave them anymore... The worst part is they are going to take those of us who do have sense down with them too.
But, according to lefties, they are the ones who are perfectly sane - furries too - and WE are the ones who are mentally ill for objecting to their antics all the way up to killing children.
They should be locked in a mental institution - instead, they're being lionized by the media and presented as completely normal.

I felt something bad was going to happen in California. I was right! The State created a crisis to get it passed.
The state released Pat Purdy from a mental institution for the 7th time, allowed him to buy guns over the counter, in violation of state and Federal laws, passing the waiting period.
He then went and shot up the Stockton School yard killing several students and himself.
The shelved bill was pulled out and passed so fast before opposition could be mounted against it.

It’s hard to get a gun when your in an insane asylum. Where she should be.
I called him "he," and we disagree. He's a productive member of society (I won't tell you his profession out of respect for his privacy). He stays relatively private in his goofy behavior. He causes no one any trouble and pays a lot in taxes. I've known him for 30 years, 27 since his "transition." He's been in a stable relationship most of that time with his (also trans) "wife." He'd be fine with a gun if he doesn't already have one.
Bottom line: If a court can issue a finding that a person is a danger to society at large, they should be incarcerated or institutionalized as the situation demands. Only then should they be deprived of the right of armed self-defense.
I suspect that many more Americans are being injured and killed by illegal alien non-English speaking big rig drivers than tranny shooters. I’d like to see a good unbiased study on it.
I think Trump is just trolling the Democrats to get them to start supporting gun rights. Just like he has them defending the drug cartels this week. 😉

I don’t doubt it. In 1976 I met a man who thought he was in the wrong body. That is the only experience I have on the subject.
He was tall (about 6’2”) and gentle. His father was an Army Colonel. I expect his dad was disappointed, to say the least. I imagine that the dad seemed overbearing to the young boy who then took refuge with his mother and perhaps other women, friends and family.
I imagine that the boy did not live up to the expectations of his father. At some point, he was given an easy out: “I’m a girl.”
My mother once said that “to understand all is to forgive all.” Perhaps. However, a flight from reality will not end well.
Even mentally deranged faggots have a right to self defense. If you can’t trust it to be armed, you should not be running around loose. So let them carry, or lock them up.
