NFL PING!....................
the NFL homo kickoff is a sick joke ... there’s a much better and simpler way to improve kickoff yardage if that’s REALLY the goal: just move the kickoff ball further back by ten yards for the kickoff ...
> Teams can now declare their intent to attempt an onside kick at any point in the game <
I don’t follow the NFL anything like I used to. But I am curious. Why should a team have to declare their intent to attempt an onside kick at all?
While I lost interest before covid hit in 2020 I wish those who are still NFL fans to have a great season of watching it all. Have fun and enjoy.
Here’s the rule I want to see.
One point for each doink on a Field Goal.
Here is a rule I want: if the kick off goes thru the uprights then it is worth 1 point!
They need to do away with the QB slide if he goes past the line of scrimmage. Its totally unfair for him to run and then slide at the last second when the defense can’t pull up and gets a penalty.
The old timers must be spinning in their graves. I can imagine Bobby Layne or George Blanda snarling “You’re gonna push my WHAT?”
Overtime rules should be dumped. There should be no regular-season OT; the number of ties is small anyway, and there are loads of tiebreakers for figuring out Wild Card. Having to play extra time in a game is obviously bound to bring about injuries, while the ‘tush push’ demonstrably does NOT.
The drive to eliminate the ‘brotherly shove’ is idiotic.
In the playoffs, can’t have ties. Overtime should be sudden death, no clock, with possession determination just a continuation from the 4th Q, IOW, no second coin toss.
Soon there will be a “ceremonial” kick off to start the game and no others.
It might be safer to replace the tush push with the French Mistake.
“Look at that little monkey run!”
