This is complicated but she bought a million dollar property in a nice seaside town and apparently "underpayed" $60k in property taxes
She is almost certainly gone.
Her defense is she did this for her disabled son so he can have a "home for life" and didn't seek the proper advice but stresses it was within the rules and codes of conduct, etc.
We will see if she survives this or not.
Why that bad? She might have done it within the rules but she is also the housing secretary (think HUD). LMAO. It looks bad
She has reported herself to the standards committee and HMRC (IRS)
Starmer is tone deaf.
The UK is burning, so what does he do? He pours gasoline on the fire.
Pretty much
Rayner should convert part of her house to a migrant hotel. That should make both Starmer and the Labour members of Parliament happy.
Rayner keeps her job. Plus she gets to examine the migrant crisis close up.
Problem solved.
👍
Yep - they jail people for “mean tweets”, and then let a criminal stay in a high political position....

I wonder if Angela Rayner can actually afford to resign. She just bought an £800k flat with something like a £160k deposit, while just finding out that she owes HMRC £40k in stamp duty.
Cabinet Ministers get almost £70k on top of their £93k basic salary, of which they’ll keep roughly half. Rayner could have confidently expected to earn that for the next four years.

It’s good to be Deep State.
She’s not alone...

Keir Starmer has managed to pick:
An anti-corruption minister who resigned after being accused of corruption.
A homelessness minister who resigned after making people homeless.
A housing minister caught up in a tax scandal over a second home.
He loves fellow hypocrites.

Makes sense, Starmer probably doesn’t pay his taxes either.
and... to cheat on taxes
<><>she bought a million dollar property in a nice seaside town

<><>said she did this for her disabled son so he can have a “home for life”......
<><>oops....she is also the Brit housing secretary (think HUD).
Doing it for “the children” is always an admission of guilt.....
especially a “housing secy” who knows all the rules.
Politics everywhere attracts sociopaths. What’s new?
She’s supposed to be providing affordable housing for Britons and she goes and buys a $1.2 million apartment for a disabled son.
She’s supposed to be a government finance guru and she doesn’t pay enough tax because she claims she didn’t know the right amount to pay.
In plain-speak: "I got caught so now I'll pay the money that is owed".
Update. Rayner just...quit.

Uh huh.
Also, the Duchess of Kent has passed away...

The ‘confusing mess’ that saw Angela Rayner resign from Government
There's is NOTHING confusing about it.
Rayner is a tax cheat.
And she was toast the moment her lawfirm threw her under the bus.
Here’s the question...
Did the UK’s Deep State pay Rayner to go away...?
Inquiring minds want to know.
Here’s a taste of how the UK’s Deep State is responding...
It’s yeying to equate tax avoidance with cheating on your taxes.
Good luck with that.
Nobody with a brain and a decent accountant pays one penny more in tax than is legally required.
And I can think of a laundry list of tax avoiding lefties, pols, bureaucrats, biz people, celebs...
Bring it on, Deep State.
Let’s go there.
