Are there any observances in Japan to mark the day, do you know?

* * *

Hey Albion.  As far as I know, there is no observance for September 2nd, what we know as Victory over Japan Day.

August 15th is memorialized here as the day of Hiroshima, Nagasaki, and war dead.  See Wiki for Memorial Ceremony for the War Dead.

We helped Japan recover, and they have become our allies. God bless their nation.

Hope all is well with you, poconopundit!
