The article, to me, stinks.
A Texas congressional staffer doused herself in gasoline before she caught fire and died, investigators said
Did she light herself on fire ? it doesn't say...it says she caught fire...strange way of saying she set herself on fire.
The article is all over the place regarding fire...
Police officers said she had 'doused herself in gasoline and was ignited into flames,'
Ignited by who(whom) what ?
Fire dept. rec'd a call and then the call was cancelled. they showed up anyway
When we arrived, we learned of a fire behind the residence that had been put out with a fire extinguisher,' fire department chief Mario Rangel told the San Antonio Express-News.
With no further explanation. Was it a different fire ? Or her on fire...who put it out ?

Stylin;
They make it sound intentional. Perhaps she splashed herself with gas, unintentionally and a spark set her on fire? (She said she wanted to live.) A cell phone might set off gas vapor. Just speculation.
If she could still speak in the hospital perhaps she clarified what happened. Might be clearer after the inquest.
