Enlisted:

I, _____, do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; and that I will obey the orders of the President of the United States and the orders of the officers appointed over me, according to regulations and the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Maybe vets can chime in on this topic.

The Laws of Nature are the Laws of God,
Whose authority can be superseded by no power on earth.
A legislature must not obstruct our obedience to Him
| from whose punishment they cannot protect us.
All human constitutions which contradict His laws,
we are in conscience bound to disobey.

This is because the enlisted are not always equipped to recognize lawful vice unlawful orders. This shields them.
Officers swear allegiance only to the Constitution. They are expected to know which orders are lawful and which are not. Furthermore, they are expected to never issue an unlawful order.
Enlisted personnel take the oath at the beginning of each term of enlistment. Officers take the oath only once, at commissioning. Our oath has no expiration date.

(7) Perform such other duties as the President may direct.
Neither do enlisted. Oath is to the Constitution for both, the enlisted also swear obedience to their seniors, contingent on the O's carrying out the oaths under good order an discipline. Führereid was a personal oath of loyalty to Hitler. I suspect this big meeting will be dual purpose. First a reorganizational FIREX. The requirements for a post-insurrection stance have already happened since the mil plans all. And there has to be more since you aren't firing folks and then having a post conference beerex @ the Club to ruminate about future plans.
