They don’t seem like they were written by a 22 yo ... on a chat service ... just like how a 22 yo doesn’t typically say they ‘retrieved’ (the weapon) ... I think they would be more likely to say I got/picked up/grabbed/lifted, etc.
But, that’s just me, probably.
Wasn’t Tyler’s dad law enforcement?
If so, he probably picked up the speech habits about that kind of thing at home.
Maybe his training included those words.
Also the use of ‘vehicle’ instead of ‘car’.
He wrote “grab” or “grabbed” my rifle , three times before saying “retrieve my rifle again”.
On the other hand, this paragraph *does* seem a little off:
“”How the F will I explain losing it to my old man? Only thing I left was the rifle wrapped in a towel. Remember how he was engraving bullets? The F in messages are mostly a big meme. If I see notice bulge U-W-U on Fox News, I might have a stroke, all right, I’m gonna have to leave it. That really F in sucks. Judging from today, I’d say grandpa’s gun does just fine IDK. I think that was a 2K dollar scope.””
