It's an epidemic. The man in the pink Barbie car was in British Columbia, so maybe it's a Canadian thing? I saw a woman drive into the parking lot in the kiddie car below at my local grocery store last Monday. She looked somewhat like Freddie Flintstone (ridiculously large) inside the car and I was surprised at how fast that thing could go. She parked in front of the pharmacy next door, though not in any proper parking space that I could see. (The woman in the photo was not the driver of the "vehicle".) It's motorized, but is that even a legal vehicle for the roads? I'm constantly amazed at the crazy things I catch on my camera these days.
Your post reminded me. of a video clip in which a man man came out of a convenience store, walked over to an ottoman (yes, a living room ottoman), and raised the lid to load the grocery bags he was carrying into the ottoman. The ottoman was apparently astride an EV skateboard. The driver....ah...rider climbed onto the ottoman, silently rode it out of the parking lot, paused as is legally required, before shifting his weight to bank right and turn onto the local street on his way home.
I'll try and find that link.........
People are very inventive. I love that about humans. I drive on highways in my tiny Miata and occasionally feel vulnerable. I can’t imagine feeling safe in a kiddle car on even small town roads.
