I think the media has done that at their peril. Those generations have lost trust in the legacy media and no longer listen to or watch them anyway, so to those media I say “Go ahead, marginalize me. I’m not likely to even notice.” And if it weren’t for posts here that report on what the old and very fake media say, I’d have no idea at all what they were saying or that I’d been marginalized by them. It’s kind of funny, really.
To a large extent, the Boomers and Gen-X are marginalized by the media ||among themselves|| (blue-haired activism).
