Don't be fooled by the media coverage of this - FNC is better than the brothel networks but the explanation is thin... Disney/ABC did not solely cancel Kimmel. TV networks do not own but a few, if any, local live TV stations. As a network they rely on local stations to carry their programming.
Two owner groups that carry ABC programming, Nexstar and Sinclair, notified ABC that they were forced to stop carrying Kimmel due to long standing poor ratings made worse by Kimmel's misleading comments about the Charlie Kirk killing. They complained that they could not sell local ad spots during that time slot due to very low viewer support.
It appears the billionaires that own these 'legacy' media outlets would sacrifice untold millions of dollars to keep these horrible misinformation shows on the air as long as they can hope to reach targeted audiences; those audiences may grow over time.
When those shows are cut off due to unavailable targeted audiences, those rich elites have to face the truth of just watching their $ millions just disappear in smoke. A few low IQ, low information folks are just not enough to continue their losses!
