Russian President Vladimir Putin has praised the strengthening cooperation between Russia and China within the BRICS group, stating that the two countries are actively working to enhance the bloc’s influence as a core mechanism of the international architecture.
In an interview with China’s Xinhua News Agency, a partner of TV BRICS, Putin said the two nations are jointly promoting initiatives aimed at expanding the economic development opportunities of member states.
“We are actively cooperating with China within BRICS to enhance its influence as one of the core mechanisms of the international architecture. Together, we are promoting initiatives aimed at expanding the economic development opportunities of member states, including the creation of joint platforms for partnership in key sectors,” Putin said.
He noted that the two countries have brought their economic relations to a qualitatively new level, with trade turnover growing by $100 billion since 2021. Russia also remains the main supplier of oil and gas to China, he said.

I compare where we and our NATO alliance and Pacific allies are today on defense, to where they were before Putin invaded, and I see vast improvements across the board.
Four years ago our side was stagnant, the defense situation was dismal and frozen in a cycle of decay and neglect, all spiraling downward, but Putin woke everyone up and got us all back to taking war seriously.
The glass half full arguments and opinions will continue, but when you look back 4 years and what has changed because what we have seen and learned in this war, there are a lot of very big and enduring, even permanent, positive improvements.
Sanctions have consequences.
All well and good but how about Trumps secondary sanctions on Russia? We know China will not budge, but India is malleable. It looks to me that severe sanctions on India to make them drop Russian oil imports is now on Trumps back burner. Trump must be having second thoughts on these sanctions.
Meanwhile India is at the Tianjin summit (Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) security summit), with Modi literally holding hands with Bad Vlad as they stroll along. It looks like India is in the Russian camp as much as ever. Cut off all H1B’s from India! They are spying on our tech almost as much as Chinese here. Spying in order to take it back home to India.
Our Saudi allies have already offered discounted oil to India, to replace discounted black market Russian oil. To no avail. Screw India. They have been invading us for years via immigration and H!B visa programs.
I understand the position of wanting more done and all the complaints about how slow rearming is taking place, or how behind we are in something like drones, or how our enemies and friends are being handled, it’s just that as I watch the presidents, both democrat and GOP paths to dealing with our enemies, I do not gloss over the general direction of things, which is that things have improved greatly in 4 years.
Trump has been in office 7 months and is trying some unique approaches, I’m not the type to stay awake at night because of the current week’s news, I’ll just follow this during the years of this presidency and see what it leads to.

You are preaching to choir. They are singing the Zeeper National Anthem, and not listening.
Besides, Zelinski cannot keep the wool pulled over Trump’s eyes much longer. Ukraine is getting crushed on in three different cities at once, and two others are teetering on the brink.
Zelinski was talking smack lately and the FT newspaper rated out Zelinski and Trump for “weaking Russia” by firing misisles and drones into Russia to destory the oil refineries. Zelinski had to bragg about. Guess what happens when a coked up braggard starts threatening the Kremlin; Russia hits back and starts to systemically destroy excactly what Trump/Zelinski tried to destroy in Russia and the results are that UKRAINE MAY HAVE EVACUATE MAJOR CITIES THIS WINTER AS A RESULT.
The gig is up for Zelinski. Most the AFU on the wrong side of D’niper River are being systemically destroyed.
Ever notice how undiplomatic we are but how our adversaries maintain the core essence of diplomacy, they work with us, and they never threaten us for the media. Trump and the US are going to lose Ukraine.
While Turmp was talking to Putin in Alaska, the pentagon according to FT, was targeting oil refineries in Russia. Of course Putin knew this, and he just smiled and tried to work with Trump. NATO ENLARGEMENT is the issue and until NATO backs off there will be a war with Russia. Russia ain’t gonna back down, and Trump has escalated to a world trade war in the interim. Trump has played his hand and now the chips will fall. The US economy is in the crapper and economic activity can’t cover for loss of trade. The loss of trade will not be viewed by ordinary Americans as the reason for the poor economy. Eveyrone knows we are in financial trouble.
