University of Miami linebacker Adarius Hayes has been arrested in connection with a May 10 car accident in Florida that killed three people and seriously injured a fourth.
The 20-year-old was charged with three counts of vehicular homicide and one count of reckless driving with serious bodily injury, the Largo Police Department said in a news release Friday.
Officers responded to the crash between a Dodge Durango and a Kia Soul at around 1:43 p.m. on May 10 at the intersection of Orange View Drive and Ridge Road, police said.
"As a result of the crash, two children who were rear passengers in the Kia Soul were ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene: Jabari Elijah Solomon (10-years-old) and Charlie Herbert Solomon Riveria (4-years-old)," police said in the news release. "The driver of the Kia Soul, 78-year-old, Gail Price was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries and died from her injuries on Sunday, May 11, 2025."
Herbert Riveria, 58, who was sat in the passenger side, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and survived, police said.
During the investigation into the accident, it was found that Hayes was driving the Dodge Durango dangerously and at a high rate of speed, according to police. The college athlete had crossed three lanes of traffic from the curb lane to the median lane, rapidly and dangerously, about five seconds before the crash.
"Moments later, Hayes abruptly re-entered the curb lane, again crossing all three lanes without signaling," police said. "At that point, Hayes’ vehicle collided with the 2017 Kia Soul, which was lawfully executing a left-hand turn westbound onto Orange View Drive."

I can’t tell you how many times in a week I see this kind of maneuver executed by thugs driving lowriders on the streets of Hillsborough County, FL, endangering all motorists around them. Without so much as one Sheriff’s Deputy vehicle being anywhere in sight. God damn the Sheriff of Hillsborough County and the Prosecutor’s Office as well for endangering all of us with their refusl to enforce law. You all know who they are.
Lock him up and keep him there.
