It’s very bad idea to drink icy cold sodas with your meals. This paralyzes and dilutes your digestive juices. This makes for bad and incomplete digestion of fats, to where these fats will be put on as body weight. Instead of being burned by your metabolism.

FWIW — When I go to a buffet, I drink no liquids. So if I eat mucho, I can properly digest it.
