What does it have to do with slavery?

He's a white guy, so he or his ancestors might have owned slaves, therefore the old logo was rayciss.

In the old days, slave owners kept a large wooden cask, and if a slave didn’t follow the tyrannical orders of their slavemaster, they were placed in the barrel. The slaves called it “The Cracker Barrel.

So, when the franchise began, the founder, whose great great grandparents were slave owners thought it was a good idea to name their chain “Cracker Barrel”. They never thought anyone would catch on or remember it, and they thought it was an inside joke.

Only kidding. I made all that up. But if I didn’t, someone else at DU surely would have.
