Well, lesson learned: don't hire a CEO who thinks it would be embarassing to be seen in the business (retail clothing for Penney's or restaurant in the case of Cracker Barrel) and their goal it to make it trendy for their friends to go there (gay folk in the case of Penny's, probably young white urban women in the case of Cracker Barrel). You end up not winning over that exciting new customer group at the same time you lose all the boring old customers.
Bud Light is another case. Not enough trannys around to make up for all the hetero men who said 'not for me anymore'.
