U.S. President Donald Trump said Tuesday he believes that helping negotiate an end to the Ukraine-Russia war might help him get to Heaven.
Trump called into the Fox News program "Fox & Friends" for a phone interview on Tuesday morning, one day after he hosted Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and other European leaders at the White House as part of the ongoing efforts to end the war in Ukraine, which began with Russia's invasion in 2022.
The president provided updates on efforts to end the war. He lamented the toll it was taking on the lives of Russian and Ukrainian soldiers as well as civilians residing in both countries.
Trump maintained that ending the war could "save 7,000 people a week from being killed."
"I want to try and get to Heaven if possible," the 79-year-old said. "I'm hearing I'm not doing well."
"I hear I'm really at the bottom of the totem pole. But if I can get to Heaven, this will be one of the reasons," he said, referring to securing a hypothetical end to the Ukraine-Russia conflict that he would play a part in negotiating.

Works alone will not get you into Heaven. Only through Grace.
Nothing anybody does can get them into heaven. It is not of works, that none may boast. It is not earned.
Only a repentant heart and a steadfast belief in Jesus and HIS WORK on the cross for US will save one.
We all need Jesus. No one gets to the Father but by Him.
He is a secular Christian as far as I can see, Your reference is accurate, but I don't think it is advice of any kind being given to him. From reading that quote above, it seems clear to me he is just filling space and speaking off the cuff, trying to be humorous. I don't think he is thinking of his eternal soul...just shooting from the hip as he always does.
We can hope he finds Christ and can find eternal life, but that is up to him. This seems to just be politics.

She makes incredible money as a Minister, very rich.
The only correct answer is to recognize that you can't earn salvation with an imperfect, sinful track record. Jesus died on the cross to provide the perfect sacrifice to pay for our sins, because we have no way to do so. Only through repentance and faith in Him and His work can we be saved.

Profound observation. I think this publication is making veiled effort to ridicule Trump.
I have prayed for him well before the 2020 election. All of the groups that were doing everything they could to destroy him, his family or anyone associated with him. He was not totally unscathed but came out pretty good.
He did things no other President did and was generally successful most of the time. It did not make sense. Then he got shot, it all made sense then. God uses imperfect people to do his will. The President is doing this.

Unless a man be born again he will not see heaven. How does a man become born again? By believing on the one whom God sent... Jesus Christian.
How .does one believe on him? By turning from try8ng,to ‘save oneself. (By good works. The bible tel.s us that our ‘good works’ are filthy rags becauze there are NONE that are good, not even one person)) and turning,to the only one who can take away our sins... Jesus Christ.
That is what repent means- to turn from try8ng to save oneself, and throwing yourself on the mercy of Christ for salvation, which he gladly and freely gives once we repent (stop trying to buy our way Into heaven by ‘doing good works). The gift of salvation is free... unearned. It is either accepted,or,rejected, and those that try to earn their way to heaven reject the gift.

When a person accepts JESUS CHRIST as Lord & Savior of his/her life, HOLY SPIRIT seals them for salvation and eternal life.

And when you believed in Christ, he identified you as his own by giving you the Holy Spirit, whom he promised long ago. The Spirit is God’s guarantee that he will give us the inheritance he promised and that he has purchased us to be his own people. He did this so we would praise and glorify him” (Ephesians 1:13-14).
I hope Franklin Graham explains this to President Trump.
