Awhile back I read an article (posted here?) that said a gasoline-powered car is statistically more likely to spontaneously combust than an EV.
Maybe I’m missing something. But I don’t buy that. When is the last time a gasoline-powered car just sitting there blew up?

It may be true that gasoline powered vehicles are more likely to burn (I doubt many spontaneously combust), but they certainly do not take in excess of 4 hours to extinguish and then have to be in a sort of quarantine for 45 days in case they reignite.

Because I paid so damn much for my Tesla...I am now forced to shop at Walmart. I wear dark glasses and a big hat and park it at the end of the parking lot. lol
