“We are back to vehicles that hit the junkyard at 100K miles because of transmission and computer issues.”

Toyota and Lexus are just getting broken in at 100k!

Even my brother can’t break his Tacomas.

Turning 164,000 on my Honda Ridgeline today or tomorrow. Purchased it new in ‘07.

Toyota should bring back the 5.7 V8. That engine is bulletproof. Enough of the small v6 with twin turbos. Using high rpm to get torque and hp is a fool’s error.
The Ford 10 speed auto tranny is the path. Others should follow that lead.

Works if you ignore the salesman promo 10,000 mile oil change and stick with mechanics recommended 5000 max between changes.

Yep. Our daily drivers are a Toyota Sequoia and an Acura RDX.
Toyo is at about 90K and the RDX is at about 70K.

The plan is to keep both until we are not able to drive anymore. Paid off at time of purchase.

New Tacoma and Tundras are not same. Lots of drive train problems even before warranty expires.
