Cracking an egg or two and poaching it in the ramen greatly improves it.

I’ll never get used to the fact that many of such ‘articles’ and studies are geared towards the idiots under the banner ‘millennial’ and others.
But through that lens, I get it...save for one thing:
The study avoids mention of flavor enhancers and the article cites it only once as a component of the flavor packet.
Thus stupid reinforces stupid.

I’ve been using a product called “Farm Dust”
https://weaversseasonings.com/product/farm-dust/
Has sodium but imparts a nice mild flavor pallette.
For lower sodium alternatives I use (the ex-Mrs) Dash and Braggs
Mostly though I grow my own (basil, parsley, dill, thyme, etc.)

Your average fast food burger is better for you than any sodium-laced noodle food.

Total DEI article : what does culture and immigrants have to do with the initial question?

I only like thick soups, but love the noodles. I make the ramen with the packets. Drain it, mix in a bit of butter and eat it like that. There’s just enough of the flavoring absorbed into the noodles without actually eating all that salt

Throw out anything not noodles or the freeze dried veggies. Lately I have adding a 1/3 cup of dehydrated veggies mix the wife had bought . For protein either sardines or kippered herring.
Delicious, fast and cheap.
To: Red Badger
Most packets are high in sodium, low in fiber, low in protein, and lack key vitamins and minerals, which can contribute to long-term health risks if eaten daily. * Potential health concerns: Regular consumption has been linked in studies to higher risk of metabolic syndrome, high blood pressure, and poor gut health. Nevermind all that. Besides having no nutritional value, the noodles themselves are pure carbs, which will make you fat.
Being fat makes you sick.

Why not get instant chicken noodle soup instead? That’s what I had in my poor college days, but I needed two packets per cup.

High sodium intake is linked to increased risk of high blood pressure, heart disease and stroke. Really!
Then why is it that when you go into the hospital the first thing they do is hang a bag of saline over your head and let it drip into your arm?
Sodium Chloride is the primary electrolyte in your blood stream.
Or is this just more disinformation from the medical deep state (creeps like Fouchie)

With all due respect to the veracity of the article, if I follow the advice of all the experts, I literally don't have time to follow the advice of all the experts.
I have a cardiologist, a hematologist and a primary care provider. When it comes to dietary considerations, not only do I not have the time, but some of their demands literally interfere with other dietary restrictions, etc.
"Wellness" is exhausting.

A common misconception. The brother contains the sodium. I throw that out.
Add a beaten egg and some spinach.

LOL! “Healthier hacks” are get rid of the flavor, substitute the noodles, and add vegetables. HA!
In other words, open the package and throw all the contents in the trash.

I used to boil the noodles, then drain and stir-fry them with some oil, and frozen peas and carrots. Just a sprinkle from the seasoning packet, and a drop of soy sauce and sesame oil.
