I would say an empire makes that bad a call once every 750 pitches (about once every three games).
The new female empire in question on her very first pitch made that bad a call.
...does it involve a perfect game?
How long before there’s AI that never makes a bad call? I know there’s the “Bad calls are a part of the game!” Yeah, and your lamborghini not starting is part of the “soul” of the car.
Just because it’s ALWAYS been this way doesn’t mean it’s the best answer.
Looked like the pitch clipped the inside corner (on the Black). MLB has been squeezing the strike zone so, technically, that may be a ball by this season’s standard. But that looked like a nasty 93mph slider.

Yep.
Most major tennis tournaments are now using electronic line calling. It has been fantastic, have yet to see a bad electronic call, no human mistakes, no arguing and a big time saver.
I think the All Star game allowed replay challenges. I only watched part and didn’t see any.

Dang phone mic.
She's a good advocate for women in Congress. That said, obviously she's mentally disturbed. And it's probably due to her experience as a cadet.
Looks to be right on the money . All these folks screaming need an eye exam.
I’ve seen a lot of calls that are worse than that.
Doesn’t need to finish in the strike zone
“What is she going to do when a bench clearing brawl starts? Run away?”

The first manager that really gets in her face over a disputed call will probably be suspended by the league.
“The new female empire in question on her very first pitch made that bad a call.”
Article said her strike accuracy was 88%, on par for the league.
There are inaccurate calls in every baseball game.
The ABS strike zone is different:

A 93-mile-per-hour pitch takes approximately 0.41 seconds to travel from the pitcher’s mound to home plate. The last three feet of the pitch (being generous here since the plate is 17” deep and allowing for catcher setback) took just a small fraction over .02 of a second. There is no way your screen shot accurately captured that kind of detailed movement in the ball’s travel so your claim that the pitch was “right on the money” is highly dubious.
