How CarShield Rejects Claims For Car Repairs
YouTube ^ | May 11, 2021 | Buckley's Auto Care

How CarShield operates… it’s something folks should know before calling that number.

The video talks about how CarShield will deliberately not cover certain parts. Then they claim it’s that part that went bad.

Buyer beware.

Better off putting the money you would have spent on an extended warranty in the bank and use it for any repairs you might need

I suspect these extended warranty plans cater to people that already have had a big repair bill and are upside down on their auto loans...

And don’t even THINK about buying Choice Home Warranty.

My brother has been dealing with them since mid-April re a faulty A/C. In Tennessee during excruciating heat. Appointments for Choice’s repair service (Sears) to show up — no-shows. Customer Service is abominable, i.e., non-existent. It’s still not repaired four months later.

His wife died late April and it’s unknown whether it had to do with the heat.

Not all of them, but advertising drugs to an already overmedicated population isn’t the best idea.

I thought about getting one of these plans awhile back. I am driving an older car, but it is a Buick with a 3800 engine,so it is probably a lot more bullet proof than their plan....after reading these comments.

Yes, many people do not have any kind of savings and are vulnerable to large repair bills they cannot afford to pay, thus putting it on a credit card which only worsens their ability to save as all their extra money gets sucked up servicing their debt.

Having enough money in the bank where you can happily turn down all these extended warranty offers because you can pay out of pocket for repairs later if you need to, is a great feeling. You will definitely come out ahead with that approach.

I am of retirement age, so I learned these lessons over a period of time. That said, I’ve never really had any big repair bills for the cars I’ve owned for the last 4 decades. I’ve been able to put sizable down payments or just pay cash for the few times I’ve bought a car.

I agree. But these scams are not true Free Market, but are treated as though they are.

Put it into Cash App and invest it in the stock market or Bitcoin.

I am up 15% for the year. I add $100 a week in stocks and $25 a week in bitcoin.
