I only watched the Passion of the Christ one time. I really can't bear in my heart to see it again. I hear you. It was traumatic, and I'm sure it still did not even come close to the actual horror of the whole thing.

Yes —of that I’m sure. What it cost Jesus to save us! I don’t think when I stand before The Throne, I’ll be able to lift my head.

I remember reading about the reaction in theatres — in the scene after Jesus was nailed to the cross, and the soldiers raised it and dropped it into the hole, the camara panned to Jesus flinching as the impact jarred his nailed hands and feet.
Someone in the theater shouted “Sh*t, that’s TOO MUCH!”
